Saturn In The Mirror

about

Saturn in the Mirror is a dwelling memory of walking towards a developing Sonoran haboob, when all colors of the desert tilted purple and animals became still. Cars stood aside as shrouded museums, windshields reflecting feathery mesquite trees. I was alone on the street and listened into the empty space between the sky's inhale and torrential release.

This recording developed in the moments leading up to my Saturn return, the release of repressed memories. It has since then survived the destruction or loss of every medium that held the recording, until it was eventually recovered from one detached hard drive. It is dedicated to the release of any memory locked in fear, the lessons of creosote, and the smell of orange dust travelling through the shattering rain.
